Hotel Santin

It is a bit better after the renovation, but still not okay. Not all rooms are nice and clean - depends on what you get. On the positive side the staff is really nice and helpful, but still that cannot compensate. The location is okay, but not great. If you need a hotel really close to the fair (and you don't care much about cleanliness) this is an option.

We liked this hotel. Rooms are new and have a minibar and television. Shower is fantastic, shampoos and soap is available. Parking is easy and for free. Lot of space. Next to the hotel you can find an all you can eat sushi restaurant (€20,90 for diner). Good place to have diner! Breakfast is served every morning from 6.30 - 10h, in the basement. Breakfast was not very special but OK! The hotel is located very close to the city centre.

On the shabby side of things... room was OK but could be cleaner. There was no rug or mochet or anything, just floor tiles. Shower cabin was quite nasty. The door to the room seems like it can be opened at any time thus giving no sound isolation whatsoever, I literally thought that people are in my room when I was in the toilet and other guests had a quick chat in the hallway.

We arrived there with ongoing renovation works. Wash hand basin will not drain well when brushing your teeth. Also when having a shower the bath will not drain....with water building up around one's feet. The hotel feels old and dated. Breakfast was nothing to write home about - consisted mostly of cold food with rotten fruits. A mixture of happy and rude staff. I will definitely not recommend it - I am sure there are better hotels in Pordenone. I don't know who gave it 3 stars rating!

I'm rating this place 1 star, because there isn't an option for 0 stars. Here are the reasons for this grade: a) BED BUGS. I've never thought this could've happened to me, but it did. No one offered any help or support. They barely changed me from the infested room to another option without extra tenants in it; b) INFRASTRUCTURE: It's an old building poorly maintained. Some rooms have been renovated, but mostly haven't. You never know when there will be hot water on your shower. And you'll be surprised by the sweet smell of sewer at the reception, since they spent so much money on air fresheners and none to solve the issue with their septic tank. Most outlets in the rooms do not work. Shower space = 2 M² (you can barely move). Desk light did not work. Curtains in the bedroom did not work and were gray (out of dirt, not because of their original color). Carpets on rooms that accept pets (worst idea ever). The gym does not exist. c) INTERNET CONNECTION: Non-existent. Don't get me wrong here, the WiFi signal is strong in most places. But it does not matter if there's no internet connection. You won't be able to work here, if you're a business person. d) STAFF. I've never been to a hotel where 2 staff members cared and the others wouldn't even look at your face. I'm not sure if they were trained, but they were barely able to provide answers to basic questions. e) LAUNDRY services. I've lost clothes and I've received clothes (from other guests, of course). Even though I marked the bags clearly, some of my clothes were not returned to my room. d) ROOM service. The room is cleaned only where you walk. If your bed moves at night because of you, you'll see the dirt under it. If you use anything from the minibar, chances are it will not be replaced for the following evening. I will never stay in this place again. If there are no options in Pordenone, drive to the next town. Because of the pandemic we were treated like criminals in this place, when the hotel itself did more harm than good to us. If anything, this place should be shut down because of sanitary conditions.
